Drones II
Drones and their software capture images, create maps and 3D models, and analyse data across economic sectors: in agriculture, construction, mining, services, etc. Although drones are one of the most innovative technologies with applications in many industries and business, the related profiles of a drone software programmer or drone operator are still not part of the national qualification systems and the required digital skills are not yet taught under the current VET curricula in many EU countries.
1. UAS Design
Simplified course for learning how to operate drone in simulation environment first. Later in manual mode and secured in door environment.
2. Payload Design
Lessons about payloads UAS are using to do their job. It covers cameras, thermo cameras, multispectral cameras, special sensors, LIDARs, gimbals design, logistics systems, military systems.
3. Advanced methods of UAS control
Explains how the UAS can be upgraded from FPV control system to preprogrammed automatic operation and later fully autonomous mode. Covers FPV methods, sensors like RTK, LIDAR, RADAR, RealSense, ROS system, Sense and Avoid principles. Setting up a advanced simulation environment.
4. Data processing methods
In-depth dive into data processing. Covers pattern recognition in 2D images and 3D point clouds, geodetical imaging methods, defect detection, solar panel analysis etc.
5. UAS maintenance
Explains how the UAS should be maintained. Covers principles of process and quality management, change management, principle of continuous employee education, operational manuals, check lists, maintenance plans.
